Forming An Attachment To Your E-Mail

E-Mail is one of the greatest benefits of the Internet.  In an instant you can dash off messages to your family, friends, and co-workers, in little or no time and with minimal inconvenience.  Wouldn't it be great if you could send photos, cards, or files that same way?  Guess what?  You can!

E-Mail programs come with a nifty feature that allows you to attach a file to the text message that you're sending.  For instance, if you're anxious to send your mom the newest photo of your kids, attach it!  If you're home sick and need to get a Word document to a co-worker, attach it!  Easy for me to say, right?  But it's also easy for you to do.  Just follow these steps.

Microsoft Outlook, is very straightforward, just click to start a new E-Mail and then on !

Just a few tips to keep in mind.  If you're sending an 8 X 10 color photo of little Caitlin, the recipient will most likely be very annoyed at little Caitlin (and you) by the time the darn thing downloads.  Reduce your image size before you attach it, if what you're sending is on the large side.

Also, remember that the recipient of your attachment must have a software program that can open whatever it is you're sending.  Most people have software that will handle images and word processing documents, but if you're wanting to send a specialized file, for example a Print Shop greeting card, then your recipient will need Print Shop in order to open your attachment.
